Hello and welcome to teampicture.ai.
I’m John and I’m a former player, teacher and coach.
Former.
I am now just a fan.
Just?
No that does not sound right.
I mean no disrespect.
What I mean is that I’m now more removed from the action than I used to be.
It’s a different perspective.
But just like most sports fans I’m still obsessed with my favourite teams and am constantly thinking about how my teams can get better and – of course – win championships.
Of course. Not matter what. No matter how bad, or mediocre, or how long it’s been without a trophy – we want our teams to win.
We dream about our teams winning.
And while we are on the outside, we think about what we could do, or what our owners, and managers, and coaches, could do better or differently to win that glorious championship.
That is my starting point here.
I’m going to mostly focus on my hometown teams.
And I am from Toronto.
In the future this project will branch out further to other fans, and teams, and cities, and countries. But for now this will be about my teams and what I learn from the process.
As for the process, what will be a key theme here is AI. Artificial Intelligence.
Yes I know that everyone is talking about AI but I’d like to see if the way I use AI can produce anything unique.
You see, I’ve have always been interested in innovation, as a teacher and as a coach.
I’ve always tried to embrace the new things that could make the world better.
Hence the AI.
AI is the future – like it or not.
And to be frank – now that I’m retired and sitting on this virtual porch I’ve created, I also use AI because my brain is old and I still enjoy a fine glass of wine or two in the evening when I watch my teams play.
Therefore, cognitively, I may not be as sharp as I used to be.
I admit this.
As a result I need AI – and coffee – to help me think, write and speak better about my teams.
That is the truth.
I’m not going to change. I’m going to continue to enjoy my wine and my coffee, and the beautiful team pictures – past, present, and future – that appear in my mind.
